The girl who forgot to love.

With the weight of unopened letters, unread messages, calls not returned, kisses dry and unreciprocated, words unheard and feelings not responded to she stood far away from who she once used to be. The Girl Who Loved Too Much.
Drying up from inside was love that once could drown. Fire estinguished rapidly to ambers which could scorch once. Now scales dark and dry. Picking each mark out with her nails shedding who she was.

Fearfully she turned into Becoming all those who stood in front of her and yet didn’t see her. Didn’t feel her didn’t sense her. All those so called loves Responsible for stripping her of her poetry, her candle light glow, gifts carefully packed torn away and endearments forgotten, withered flowers crumbling in dog eared books. Name written n re written etched on her soul more than her books all faded.

They turned their back and she stood a while waited for someone. Anyone who would call out to her. Extend a hand and lead her back to where she belonged. But She waited and she waited. And she waited.

Dejected she turned around her head weighed down by all dreams lost, all hopes drained. And she walked further and further away from who she used to be.

From The girl who loved too much she Evaporated into The girl who forgot how to love.

  1. This one is painful. So used to seeing a lot of sunshine in your posts. Or a blazing, orange angry fire. The grey has mostly always been metallic because of unyielding grit. The grey in this post, though, is a dark cloud wanting to weep and trying hard not to.
