I have to have to share this. Ofcourse all you technologically savy, social media doyens/pundits obviously know it but I shall still tell.
Recently, after much persuasion I am trying to be active on social media. Putting posts, tweeting, replying to messages. I’m still pretty confused as to where the “#” goes and where “@“ sign comes but I assume it’s doing it’s intended job. I’m not against social media, not atall I just don’t understand what to do with it.
So yesterday was a test of kinds. I read a tweet by “Tendulkar” complimenting Delhi Crime and i dont think I need to say how excited I got. So as a reply to his tweet I retweeted “OMGGGGG is this really you?? Thanku sir.” (I don’t know any other Tendulkar.)
Sadly it wasn’t him. But when I was imparted that knowledge I laughed.That’s what I do, when I walk into glass doors, or I fall on stage, or I goof up I laugh. I laugh at myself and I laugh the loudest. Ofcourse I’m not supposed to. Not not supposed to laugh. I’m not supposed to fall or falter and even if I do I’m definitely not supposed to accept my folly and laugh at myself.
But I do and That doesn’t make me dumb. It makes me a person who still believes that “anything can happen.” And doesn’t find the need to pretend and hide my naivety. The word for that is guileless and unpretentious. Which I’m so glad I am.
I goof up, I accept I’m wrong,I laugh about it and correct it. I tried being a unicorn but being human is so much easier. So, I will stay that way.
