Double vision

I have double vision.

1+1 is my mode of choice. Not always sensible or sane but I just do. A split personality probably. Both personalities refusing to share and wanting one for each of them.

2 sons and now 2 chota pups.

I was often asked how it was to have 2 babies back to back. Very difficult!!! But I also said it was a wise decision cause I raised them together(while I completely lost my mind) and they’re there for each other forever. Very romantic na.

Well this was exactly the same logic boys gave me when we were getting our pups. Wonder where they heard it from.

And I succumbed. Obviously I don’t learn from experience.

Being a mom to two kids is like being a Conjoined twin whilst I have a split personality disorder.

Two bodies, diverse minds, different choices,a la Jekyll and Hyde with one organ that conjoins them, the heart, and thats me.

It’s a constant tug of war. With two little pups ,attached with umbilical cords to one body, running a marathon in opposite directions😰.Pulling the blessed but stretched out rubber band of a mom.🤕

Everything is twice around. Feeding, meds, poop, pee(that’s a million times in the day). Then clean them?or clean the poo first?(life transforming options believe me).

And no matter what choice you make, mind you there’s no life line and whatever you choose either ways you’re gonna be full of shit.

But the love. OMG…… abundant. And they haven’t even leaned to write letters to me or say ‘I love you’(neither have the 2 legged ones). They express it as passionately as their mom. Albeit scratching her face, chewing her hand and tugging and tearing her kaftan. They’re fur balls of unconditional love.

And I can’t be grateful enough for that.

But as in postpartum and with a brain that runs in circles it’s a bit confusing.

We were taking Simba to the vet the other day and I picked Ash and walked out of the door.

Does that explain.

Well I told you I have double vision!!!
